In the second round of the Conservation Fund, Green Township acquired 25 acres adjacent to the existing Coy Memorial Park. The emphasis of this project was the preservation of high quality, viable habitat for plant and animal species. The diverse range of habitat includes previously farmed crop land, a 0.75 acre pond, a headwater stream and its riparian corridor, meadows and forested regions.
