In the first round of the Conservation Fund Howland Township acquired 119.6 acres of land adjacent to current Howland Township Wildlife Preserve and the Howland Township Park. This acquisition created a corridor of community accessible protected open space.
This site protects threatened plant species, preserves the functioning flood plains and existing wetlands, and provides educational opportunities.
