The Mahoning River Consortium, a local river advocacy group, acquired 24.9 acres of high quality wetland habitat in Boardman Township in the first round of the Conservation Fund. This project protects water quality and wildlife habitat, as well as preserves a portion of a headwater stream. This diverse and significant wetland sits in the heart of a rapidly developing area of Boardman Township.
