In Round 3 Mill Creek MetroParks acquired 249 acres in Beaver Township. This land is adjacent to a 9-acre parcel already owned by the MetroParks and created a 258 acre wildlife sanctuary. Aside from protecting rare, threatened, and endangered species, this site also preserves and enhances the flood plain of Mill Creek.
