In the first round of the Conservation Fund, the City of Warren acquired 15.66 acres to create 1.9 miles of open space for a linear park that runds through five inner city neighborhoods in the City of Warren. This linear part lies on an abandoned railway that connects with 29 streets - this provides easy access for those who cannot easily escape the city. This linear park will be a new recreational opportunity for city residents and will create a respite from urban life for low to moderate income families.
