Partnering with our communities is what Eastgate is proposing to do with a Planning Grant called MOVING THE COMMUNITY FORWARD

Eastgate Regional Council of Governments (Eastgate) has set aside $30,000 of our Consolidated Planning Grant (CPG) in Fiscal Year 2018 to offer MOVING THE COMMUNITY FORWARD to assist municipalities with planning efforts.  Click here to see the grant document. CPG funding requires a minimum match of 10% which can be cash and/or in-kind match, so it seemed like the perfect fit for this grant.

A committee of representatives from Mahoning and Trumbull Counties, the Cities of Youngstown and Warren, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 4, and Eastgate’s Citizens Advisory Board is being assembled to review and score each application.

A letter of intent (LOI) will be required, click here for the LOI and a pre-application meeting will be held for every eligible community that submitted a LOI.  At the pre-application meeting, the application and scoring methodology will be reviewed and questions answered.

Eastgate intends to offer technical assistance to help make the project successful.  This will be discussed at the pre-application meeting, and again with the successful applicant(s).

We are very excited about this grant and will work closely with the successful applicant(s) to assure MOVING THE COMMUNITY FORWARD is successful.
