Jim Kinnick, PE, Executive Director of Eastgate, updated the Citizens Advisory Board on accomplishments in 2017 and initiatives for the new year. Accomplishments include streamlining ad-hoc committees, branding the agency, sponsoring a TIGER application, launching a planning grant, renovating the main conference room, and establishing a satellite office in Warren. In 2018, Eastgate will roll out its asset management plan for Mahoning and Trumbull counties, establish grant writing services, and provide comprehensive planning services for its members.

The Citizens Advisory Board provides a continuous forum for the public to participate in the regional planning and decision-making process. It is open to residents of Mahoning and Trumbull counties. The CAB meets on the first Thursday of the month at 6:00 pm (except August) to learn about and discuss community topics including legislation, infrastructure projects, and quality of life in the Mahoning Valley.
